Reminder is one of the most unique tracks I ever made. I don't know how to classify it, but I started out attempting to make an R&B song. Definitely new territory for me. I don't know much about singing, but I just did what felt right. I ended up with some type of smooth hybrid track.

I remember saying "actions speak louder than words, just a reminder" during an argument with my ex. That phrase stuck with me for a while, lingering in my mind for a bit. This is definitely a song I had to record alone, developing the concept as I was recording it. I freestyled the singing parts off the strength of what I was feeling at the time. I cut my original singing part in half to let the song breathe, then decided it was too much space. I was new to recording myself so I didn't know how to change anything back or undo my mistakes. But that made me creative.

I reached out to my friend Vanessa C and she blessed me with the Spanish parts. I spent a week in Madrid in 2018/2019ish and met Vanessa there. She was helping my squad organize some shows and get connected. But I remember her teaching me Spanish little by little throughout the week and I knew her voice would be perfect for this project.
