about

'Love Wins' is probably the most "hip-hop" song on the project. I remember writing it early in the album process. I always knew it would be an outro, or the next-to-last song. I actually wrote this song about a previous relationship.

On my first project I wrote a song called 'Camilla' and the lyrics were raw and honest, but I was a lot more immature and angry about the breakup back then. Sometimes I regret using her real name as the title. And I regret calling her out of her name in my lyrics. Lessons learned.

'Love Wins' is my more mature, reflective take on that previous relationship with Camilla. Basically describing what I learned after healing, and how it helped me with the current breakup I'm discussing on this project.

"A the end of every winter you see another spring. Understand the rain is a temporary thing."

lyrics

I used to have a shorty way back in the day
Banging ass body and immaculate face
Dressed to the nine with the finest of taste
Shorty was a dime chose up in the game
I used to feel the same we was king and queen
Signals got switched I don’t know what changed
Nights grew cold look at what we became
Now the nightmares feel so routine
Now my dream girl caused so much pain
She didn’t feel a thing I was so insane
Every now and then you get burnt by the flame
But you live and you learn earn the chance to love again
At the end of every winter you see another spring
Understand the rain is a temporary thing
Growth is the thesis rose in the cement
Love will return like waves to the beaches ‘cause

Love wins in the end
No matter if you sin love wins in the end
Love wins in the end
Everynow and then love wins in the end
Love wins in the end
Once again love wins in the end
